The Intro to Technical Diving Course is a beginner-level technical diving program for experienced recreational divers. It teaches fundamental technical diving skills, including advanced buoyancy, gas management, and equipment handling, while preparing you for deeper and more challenging dives safely.

This course is designed for divers who are at least 18 years old, hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent), and have a minimum of 30 logged dives. Medical fitness for diving is also required to ensure safety during technical training.

You’ll gain skills in technical dive planning, gas management, twinset or sidemount configuration, precise buoyancy, trim, propulsion techniques, and emergency procedures. These skills form the foundation for further technical diving courses and enhance overall safety and confidence underwater.

The course typically takes 1 to 2 days, including classroom theory, confined water exercises, and open water dives. Duration may vary depending on your prior experience and comfort level with technical diving equipment.

While this course is primarily skill-based, it opens doors to advanced technical diving, deep diving adventures, and specialty programs like trimix or decompression diving. Even for recreational divers, it improves safety, dive efficiency, and confidence, making every dive more controlled and enjoyable.
